As students move from the "school" world to the "real" world, they need to know how to be a be responsible and contributing citizen. High school students need to have the opportunity to utilize their classroom curriculum learning and apply it in a meaningful way to promote a positive relationship with the community. This project allows for the implementation of knowledge to better serve the community. The Middleton High School Leadership Team works to educate peers about meeting the basic human needs of community members with the intent to gain support for the Christmas Drive through donations, ideas, etc. In turn, the leadership students gave the items (food, clothing, etc.) gained from the Christmas Drive to families and educate them about food, nutrition, staying healthy, etc. The Christmas Drive took place during the first semester.
