Description:
Students perform public service by making capital and structural improvements along the Pocatello Greenway Trail system in order to promote healthy and sustainable practices that includes non-motorized modes of travel as a viable means of transportation. Students will increase their physical fitness through riding bicycles, as well as increase their knowledge of bicycle repair and safe automotive driving rules. Students will also experience applied lessons in the subject areas of mathematics and science. Through this community service project, the students will also experience firsthand the benefit of being connected to a community.
