Holiday Food Drive

While studying the role of government in the economy, students will examine the issue of hunger in America. They will research what conditions lead to people not being able to feed themselves or their families. They will look at the role that government and the private sector can play in solving this problem. Students will determine where there are agencies helping feed people in their community. Since the holiday season is a time when people are in particular need of food, the students will organize a school wide campaign to collect food for those in need.
