This course is designed to support the University Flagship Agenda, College, and Departmental educational requirements by engaging students in active, experiential learning with student-centered design exercises in preparation for writing, speaking, and other design-related professional responsibilities through community engagement with service-learning and CCELL (Center for Community Engagement, Learning, and Leadership), and the incorporation of communication-intensive principles specified by CXC (Communication Across the Curriculum).
