Description:
Originally water was more important than land to the Athabascan people. In this lesson, students will work with the Tribal Council and Elders to understand the historical importance of the area's watershed, map the route of the water and surrounding area, study uses of the watershed and the animals dependent on it, and collect data from the watershed, interpret, share, and graph.
