Description:
D.A.R.E lessons prepared the Students. The community collaborated in allowing the posting of student generated materials. The project extended the D.A.R.E program learning. Students contacted appropriate local businesses for their support. Group discussions determined what the posters said, including the negative effects of drugs on the body. Students identified civic responsibility, by getting the community involved in wearing red ribbons, and personal responsibility, by vowing to remain drug free. Students participated in groups, during school hours, under teacher supervision.
