Description:
Based on their community assessment groups of teens have chosen five disaster areas. The teens created five educational videos, one on each specific disaster and have developed community recovery resources. Topic areas include fire safety, tornado safety, water conservation and power outages. The teens are taking the videos to after-school programs in low-income schools. The teens have also developed information to go home with the children, to teach families how to respond to these emergencies.
