Saving the Sandhill Crane

Description:

The community need was to protect the sandhill cranes. Since they have returned to the same nesting site for the past one thousand years, they are confused and displaced when pavement covers their former nesting site. When our school was built, the cranes were left homeless. Once the community heard the story of the students' desire to save the cranes, they emailed to let us know that they supported our efforts.
