Description:
While studying the role of supply and demand in our economic system, the students will create consumer guides for products or service used by other students. For example, the guides could focus on restaurants, snacks, movie theaters, clothing, or amusement parks. The guides can evaluate quality, price, service, cleanliness, or other criteria. The students can work in groups or individually. They can develop a rubric to evaluate the item they are writing about. Once the guides are completed they can be printed and distributed to other students at school. The guides will indicate the methodology used and the fact that the evaluations are the opinion of the student writers.
