Description:
The primary purpose of this course is to help students successfully make the transition to the university setting. The focus of the course will be to familiarize students with campus resources and to facilitate their engagement in the university experience. Through group discussions with a faculty mentor. students will develop critical thinking and social interaction skills to prepare them for the academic environment. Students will become active participants in the university and local community. From Black Hills State University. (Two versions of the syllabi included.)
