Description:
TechShop Madison is a program that engages UW-Madison undergraduates in providing information technology assistance to nonprofit organizations. The model on which the project is based is the highly successful "science shop" structure used in the European Union. "Science shops" link university research and technical assistance resources to community-generated projects. Our project was based on a community-based research project that investigated the information technology needs of local nonprofit organizations.
