Help Make A Difference!!!!

I am a 13 year old middle school student. I have started a non-profit organization (501(c)(3)) -- Empower Orphans. The purpose of "Empower Orphans" is to elevate the well being of orphaned children and empower them to succeed, by helping them help themselves. Our focus is to help create self sufficiency by supplying them with the tools to gain a basic education and technical skills to enable a sustainable livelihood, leading to productive and positive contributions to society. In addition, "Empower Orphans" provides food and clothing in order to establish an effective learning environment. Furthermore, we intend to provide medical supplies and health care to better enable a learning environment.

Empower Orphans has already made significant strides towards making a difference in the lives of orphaned and under-privileged children.

• A library has been started at the Bal Kunj orphanage and is expanded upon each year.
• Each of the 200 children living at Bal Kunj receive stationary for one school year.
• Blankets and sweaters have been donated for each child to help combat the bitter winters experienced by northern India.
• Each child living at Bal Kunj has been provided with a school bag and shoes.
• An Eye and Dental Clinic was conducted for 360 under-privileged children
• School fees paid for 10 children
• Sewing machines provided to 10 older girls so that they can start earning a living.
