In December, Middleton High School’s Leadership class held our annual Christmas Drive. We adopted 22 families, and with the help of MHS students, faculty and community members we were able to provide them with food and clothes to help give them a one-time boost out of their economic situation during the Christmas season. For a family to become adopted, they must undergo an interview and selection process held by the Leadership class. We do our best to only choose those families who are in the greatest need of our help.
This year, the art class screen printed reusable grocery bags that we were able to give each family. In addition, our culinary arts class also created a cookbook based off the items on our grocery list. We would like to send out our greatest thanks to the MHS students, faculty, and the Middleton Booster Club who helped us out immensely. Our gratitude also goes out to the Oregon Trail Church of God who allowed us to occupy their facility as a clearinghouse on delivery day. We had a wonderful turnout this year and are looking forward to being able to help out again next year during the Christmas season.
